This year's theme: Reach Higher!

Saint Joe’s core value for the year is “Reach Higher”. It is no secret that Saint Joe students reach higher in academics, athletics, on stage, and in various competitions. But this year’s theme gives us an opportunity to illuminate what is most essential to the vibrant Catholic life we strive to live at Saint Joe - the pursuit of holiness and the attainment of heaven as our final destination. So this year be prepared to hear a great deal about digging deeper spiritually in order to reach highertoward the eternal prize. As the quote by Fulton Sheen tells us, holiness does not happen by accident, or without effort. We must strive for it, and decide for it every day. Together - parents, students, faculty, and staff - we make the commitment to do our part to build a dynamic culture of holiness and intentional discipleship at Saint Joe. 

How do we live our faith and grow as disciples of Jesus Christ at Saint Joe?

  • Daily morning & afternoon student-led prayer (all grades may sign up to lead prayer)
  • Weekly confessions + penance services during Advent & Lent
  • Monthly all school Masses (open to parents) + daily Masses during flex (see calendar)
  • Student led liturgical ministries: Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion, Altar Servers, Lectors, Ushers, & Liturgical Choir (all grades)
  • FIRE Flex Peer Ministry team training & formation (grades 10, 11, & 12)
  • OCIA program - sacramental prep for those wishing to complete the sacraments or enter the Church
  • Grandparents & Special Elder Day (Tuesday, November 24, 2026)
  • Spiritual accompaniment & formation with Pastoral Ministry team (all grades + parents, faculty & staff)
  • Christian service opportunities throughout the year
  • Eucharistic Adoration (open to parents)
  • Our Lady of Guadalupe Pot-luck Celebration (Sunday, December 13, 2026)
  • Grade Level Retreats for 9th & 10th grades and smaller group retreats for 11th and 12th grades
  • Living Stations of the Cross Passion Play (Wednesday & Thursday, March 24 & 25, 2027)
