Visit

This unique experience is offered to all 7th graders enrolled in area schools. In the spring of 7th grade, students visit Saint Joe to explore campus, attend mini-lessons, meet the faculty, interact with student ambassadors, and learn about the Saint Joe experience. The day begins with homeroom, includes lunch (always a highlight!), and concludes with a school-wide Pep Rally.

Students enrolled in our Catholic partner schools (Christ the King, Corpus Christi, Holy Cross, Holy Family, St. Adalbert’s, St. Anthony’s, St. John the Baptist, St. Joe Grade, St. Pius X) are automatically included in this day. 

Parents of seventh grade students enrolled in other area schools may contact the Director of Enrollment, Sue Ushela, to reserve their place at Discover Saint Joe Day.

Every fall, Saint Joseph High School hosts an Open House for students of all ages. Typically held in early November, the Open House offers prospective students the opportunity to meet faculty, tour campus with a Saint Joe student, learn about our classes, and explore the many clubs, sports, and activities available to students. The next Open House takes place on Sunday, November 3, 2024 from 1:00-3:00 p.m.

Prospective students enrolled in 8th grade or higher may schedule an individual visit to Saint Joe by contacting the Director of Admissions, Sue Ushela. Prospective students shadow a current Saint Joe student for one full school day. As much as possible, visiting students are paired with hosts who share similar interests, enjoy the same courses, or participate in the same activities.

Eighth grade students shadow freshmen, which provides a window into what a typical school day may be like in their first year. Students in grades 9-12 interested in transferring to Saint Joe will shadow a student in the same grade, so as to connect with peers prior to admission or enrollment.

Visit days expose prospective students to our unique block schedule, where every class meets for 90 minutes on alternating days. Since not all classes meet every day, the Admissions office will schedule a visit on a day that most closely aligns with the prospective student’s interests. Visiting students are treated to lunch on the day of their visit.

Throughout the year, the Admissions Office hosts evening information sessions for parents of prospective students. Topics may include an overview of the admissions process, understanding financial aid, and expectations for high school. Sessions presented by the Counseling Office and Athletic Department help parents prepare for the transition to high school, and provide tips on how to navigate the next four years and beyond.

Families with younger children may explore Saint Joe through summer camps! Athletics and Fine Arts offer camps for elementary and middle school students. Details vary by camp. The summer camp schedule is posted in early spring. Check out the summer programs page to learn more.
