INdiana Quiz Bowl
2013 Rotary Indiana Championship (2 Mar 13 @ Ancilla College)
Saint Joe, Riley, North Miami Pitch Shutouts

Three high schools won state titles with undefeated records at Ancilla College at the beginning of March. Nationally-ranked Saint Joseph scored its first varsity state title by putting up high numbers against a high-quality field. Two other South Bend schools, Riley and Clay, dueled in the middle class with Riley prevailing by a scant ten points in the championship match. And North Miami made it sixteen straight game wins to win their third consecutive Small School crown.

Saint Joe started strong, scoring over 500 points in each of their first five games, before being tested by Culver Academies, though they did prevail, 455-350. Culver, however, had already dropped their game against Harrison 315-545, so that propelled Harrison into the advantaged final against Saint Joe. Harrison had been crushed by almost 400 points in their preliminary game against the Indians, but they turned it around and stayed with Saint Joe far into the game before falling, 340-475.

In the AA division, Riley swept through the preliminary rounds, winning by substantial margins in most. Clay finished with only one loss, so it set up an epic final between the two that wasn't decided until the final question.

In the A division, North Miami did not need an advantaged final, since they finished two games clear of the field. Frankton and North White tied for the runnerup spot.
