INdiana Quiz Bowl
 2009 Dogfight (6 Dec 08 @ Brownsburg)
 Harrison is Top Dog

In the past few years, no team in Indiana has racked up a record quite like Harrison High School. Since 2003, they have won eight tournaments and four state championships, plus a bevy of second-place finishes. And of course they won the National Academic Championship in 2007.

But this year looked to be more of a struggle. In the White River league, they face stiffer competition from New Palestine, Brownsburg, and Cardinal Ritter. At the two tournaments previous to this one, they finished third to Culver Academies and St. Joseph's and below Culver and South Bend Adams at the Notre Dame tourney.

So it was perhaps a surprise when the Raiders waltzed their way to this year's Dogfight win. They won their eight games more or less handily, averaging almost 200 points per game and were only tested in the final game versus New Palestine.

A side historical note: In the ten years of the Dogfight, this marked only the second time a B-team outlasted the A-team from one school in the playoffs. St. Joseph's 2 pulled the trick this year, upsetting #2 Brebeuf to do it (Harrison 2 did it four years ago).
