Welcome Saint Joseph's High School Parents! We welcome our students for the 2010-2011 school year with great enthusiasm and excitement! The nurse has information available on new immunization quidelines and requirements. Please be sure to click on the site below for this vital information. We wish you all a wonderful school year and encourage you to become an active member of our family. SAVE THE DATE: Please mark your calendars now for our annual Open House. It is being held November 14, 1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you there. We hope you had an enjoyable evening at Back to School Night. It was a bit warm, but that seems to be a Back to School Night tradition. Regardless of the weather, it is always a pleasure to welcome our parents on this special evening. If you did not have an opportunity to purchase spirit wear, remember it is available on Thursdays during the lunch hours in the cafe lobby. Also, if you did not get a volunteer form, the Parent Group would be happy to provide you with information and the form. If you were unable to attend BTSN, you may want to stop by the Main Office to pick up your parent-student directory for this school year. This week is Spirit Week. Please encourage your students to "catch the spirit" and participate in the festivities of the week. Wednesday, Sept. 8--When I Grow Up Day Thursday, Sept. 9--Shark Day (no swimwear) Friday, Sept. 10 --Salad Dressing Day Seniors: Caesar (togos, etc.) Juniors: Thousand Island (Hawaiian shirts...) Sophomores: Ranch (cowboy hats...) Freshmen: French (berets...) Please remind your students of this opportunity to join in the fun and spirit of Saint Joe. It is always an enthusiastic and enjoyable week. Pep Rally is Friday at 2:00. Parents are always welcome to join in the festivities. Also, college representatives begin visits to Saint Joe this week. Check the Guidance site on the website for upcoming colleges and dates. This Week: Tuesday, September 7 Indiana Tech Wednesday, September 8 Hillsdale College Thursday, September 9 High Point University, North Carolina Friday, September 10 Indiana University We also have the University of Chicago coming on Sunday, September 12. Their representatives will be in the Little Theater from 4:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. Parents and students are invited to attend. Don't miss out on this special opportunity. TECHNOLOGY UPDATE - Cybersafety At Saint Joseph's High School, we recognize that cybersafety is more than just blocking students from inappropriate websites. Cybersafety starts with educating our students to be responsible, and we want to provide parents with resources to help them teach cybersafety at home.
