The Sabo Society
In 1948, Monsignor Sabo was tapped by then Bishop John Noll to build a new high school that would combine four area schools. In four years, Msgr. Sabo brought the project from conception to completion. Saint Joseph's High School was built at the corner of Angela Boulevard and Michigan Street, offering a college preparatory education to all who entered its doors. Times have certainly changed since Msgr. Sabo's commission and calling were fulfilled. Yet the mission of Saint Joseph's has remained the same: excellence for all who enter its hallowed halls. In honor of Msgr. Sabo and in celebration of our first fifty years of educational excellence, Saint Joseph's High School has established the Monsignor John Stephen Sabo Society. The development and continuation of Msgr. Sabo's vision depends greatly upon the financial support of Saint Joseph's High School's many friends and benefactors. Today, 37 percent of the cost of educating students who attend Saint Joseph's comes from the generosity of leaders like Msgr. Sabo. Joining the Sabo Society will help ensure that our students continue the traditions of academic achievement, leadership, and success for which Saint Joseph's High School is known. Through the Sabo Society, we recognize our many friends who realize that the development of a great high school depends on significant financial support. Membership is offered to those who are willing to make an unrestricted annual investment of $1,500 or more. An unrestricted investment of $5,000 or more enters leaders into membership in the Columbia Blue Circle. Regular Membership ($1,500 and above) Benefits
